When his friend Brandon asks why Derek lives with his grandparents and not his mom, Derek explains that she is away in the army. Although Derek misses his mom a lot, he proudly tells Brandon about all the exciting things she does at her job. Brandon is impressed.

Jasmin and Mommy harvest ripe vegetables from their plot in a community garden. At home, they make a delicious pizza, using the vegetables as toppings. Jasmin can't wait to eat the pizza. After burning her tongue on the first bite, she decides to hold off before eating more of the piping-hot treat.

Kendra and her family take a trip to her aunt and uncle's farm. Following a tour of the farm with her cousin, Kendra has great fun picking peaches and feeding chickens. Best of all, she gets to name a newborn baby horse. With great anticipation, she thinks about riding Spotty when they are both older.

After Victor repeats and repeats an initially impressive magic trick, his family tires of his antics until, as his grand finale, he makes himself disappear, leaving everyone to laugh at his cleverness.
