Mom has broken her foot and has to rest in bed. Victor decides he will take care of Mom the way she takes care of him. He even creates an original story to read to her. His delightful story makes her feel much better.

Preparing for Sara's classroom birthday party, Mrs. Hall discovers that one birthday cupcake has been nibbled at. Though Mrs. Hall suspects one of the King School Kids, each of them denies any wrongdoing. The culprit turns out to be a pet mouse that has escaped from a nearby class.

Derek wonders why the new boy on the block doesn't say hello. Grandpa suggests that the boy may be shy and offers Derek advice about making new friends. Once Derek musters up his courage and approaches the boy, they have a great time playing together.

Feeling shy

Jasmin spends a whole week at Daddy's apartment. As the week unfolds, her bedroom becomes such a mess that she can't find anything. At Daddy's insistence, she cleans the room and finds everything she'd misplaced.

A messy room

Kendra and her little sister Layla have a wonderful time staying over at Aunt Tonya's until bedtime. Layla is frightened about sleeping in a strange room and wants to go home. Kendra tries unsuccessfully to comfort Layla. Finally, she gets into bed with Layla, and the two fall happily to sleep.
