Jasmin's parents aren't together anymore, so she divides her time between Grandma's house and Daddy's apartment. Jasmin is generally content with her two homes but wishes her parents still lived together. She feels very happy when they come together to celebrate her birthday.

Two homes

Sara asks some of the King School Kids to play on the seesaw with her at recess, but they all want to do something else. Disappointed, she approaches a new girl in school and ends up with a seesaw partner and a new friend.

Alone at recess

One Saturday, Derek and his grandparents go to a big family reunion. Derek meets many relatives, plays games, looks at family pictures, listens to funny family stories, and eats delicious food. He has such a splendid time that he wishes he could go to a family reunion every Saturday.

A special family party

Kendra and Dad go to a neighborhood soccer game. There, she roots for her team so loudly that she loses her voice. When Kendra gets home, she discovers much to her dismay that she can't even squeak out the happy news that her team won the game.

Victor puts all his favorite things (peanut butter, tuna, ham, and pickles) in a sandwich and discovers he loves all these things separately but definitely not all together.
