Mrs. Hall asks each of the King School Kids to pick a season and draw a tree with a special detail for that season. The children add peaches, icicles, and baby birds to their trees. To everyone's amusement, one student, an avid tree-climber, adds himself to his tree. 

Special trees

Derek is very unhappy when he wakes up sick on his birthday and has to stay home from school. Feeling sad and lonely, he perks up when Mrs. Hall stops by with a beautiful handmade card from the whole class.

At home sick

Upset because her friends know how to ride two-wheelers and she doesn't, Jasmin asks Mommy to teach her. Excited but nervous, Jasmin repeatedly tells Mommy not to let go—only to discover at the end that she's riding all on her own.

Don't let go!

Mrs. Soto, Kendra's neighbor, is sad because her sister died in Mexico and she wasn't there to say goodbye. Kendra lifts Mrs. Soto's spirits by drawing a touching picture of Mrs. Soto and her sister waving goodbye to each other.

Mom frantically looks everywhere in the kitchen for her glasses, until Victor laughingly points out they've been on her head the whole time.
