When a storm knocks out power in their home, Victor asks Dad what the family can and cannot do during the outage. To his delight, he discovers the family can eat, play games, and—best of all—read a book together. 

The lights are out

The King School Kids describe all the fun they have at Robert's birthday party (eating, dancing, playing, and so on). But after a while, they have to go home, which is no fun at all.

The birthday party

Derek enthusiastically describes the highlights of his wonderful day at the street fair with his grandparents and his cousin Justin. There, they see musicians and jugglers, eat delicious food, get their faces painted, and select colorful balloons to take home.

Jasmin, fascinated by how snowy-white everything has become overnight, goes outside to play. After frolicking joyfully for a while, she becomes snowy-white, too!
